My 1998 disco 2 td5 auto box is playing silly buggers. All gears change as they should but it doesn't like going into throttle lock. Can any of you guys give me reasons why it won't, it used to do it but it doesn't bother its hole any more. Gearbox oil and filter was changed 25k ago and done again not so many weeks back.

Just done the stall test. Engine was running at 2800rpm but never stalled. Does this mean clutch is slipping, would it also e the reason why it won't go into throttle lockand if so what sort of money is it to get fixed? Think I will go sit in a corner and cry

If it wasn't above 2800rpm it is somehow at the limit... from here my knowlkedge ends, let's hope James Martin or somebody more mechanically minded than me will give you advice
