hi guys

after a week of the p38 being in the garage i took her for a run today was smooth but after a quick cupper i jumped back in head back to mine the auto box was not changing gear and reving it tits off then wont go any more than 40-50 but i high revs i have check the atf dip stick and it shows 3 to 4 inches from the max level any one have any ideas i will be on the fone to the garage in the morning

are you checking the oil level with engine running? & is the box in high range??

was told to check when cold and not running and when at idle and in neutral still looks high spoke the garage owen asked how much he filled it up and the told me they never did it but i have it on my bill atf for auto box

Nope definately cold and running?? That's the procedure for disco auto's. Can't see RR been different????

the correct way to check the level is:

from cold and on level ground, start the engine in park, apply foot and handbrake and move the gear selector from park through to 1 and back again slowly and smoothly. get out while the engine is running and check the atf level. extremes in the levels can cause gear changing to be jerky or not at all.
Hope that helps!
i take i when you say that it's 3-4 inchs away from max is lower rather than higher??

had another spanner monkey look at this morning way over the fill level and 9 loose wheel nuts it done soming to the clutch now im getting i fixed and bill sent to them
