Sorry to have left my replies so long to this post.....
However...SORTED now.
I, as suggested, attempted to take apart, clean out, re connect etc all wires that are in those two big blocks, followed every wire I could that may have even remotely related, or not,...no joy. Both fans were running when ignition was on?????????????
Beaten,..so, not sure if I'm allowed to mention names here, but let's just say I took the car to Ashley in Stafford.
Plugged in the laptop.....No Communication with AutoBox...so, after he tested his laptop on another Auto Freelander..and all was OK,i it was obviously my car & not his laptop.
Bit the bullet, took it in again...phone call 2 1/2 hours later..Done It!!
To cut a long story short..after initially checking for continuity between 'some' of the plug in points, computer said 'check fuse No. 4???? remember the fans were running???? fuse No. 4 relates to the fan/fans...blown!!! Fans still running though??? changed fuse..all OK!!!!! Wether somehow the radiator fan had 'stopped' possibly through water from our lanes floods had briefly caused this, and I mean deep flood, I'll never know, but the fans stopped after he'd changed the fuse, dash lights/console light/reversing lights all came back on..gear indicator on the dash re emerged..I assume then a 're-check' & continued with the laptops fault diagnostic route taken.....but all working perfectly as it was originally...??????? I can only guess that the computer had detected that cooling wasn't sufficient..maybe relating to autobox oil temperature as well???? No Idea in reality, but all I can say is that 'Fuse No. 4' was the culprit, and the car is perfect now and running at normal temperature....I know watch out in floods/avoid any!!!!!!
