While measuring the drag link today it was about 25mm longer than it should be and almost new condition. Rave states 1170mm maybe that's what is causing the pull to the left. Since the advisory stated that a ball joint has very slight play I'm going to replace both joints. Anyway, getting to the point, I noticed that the auto box cooling pipes are leaking slightly, as are the pipes for the engine. Here's hoping they don't cause me grief when replacing :D

Track is done first, then wheels are place straight ahead by driving the car ahead on flat ground a few car lengths. Then drag link is removed from drop arm and steering box is centralised. With steering box central steering wheel should be in neutral position. Then drag link is adjusted to fit in drop arm. Centralisation of steering box is critical to directional control. (Wandering). You can only replace one joint on drag link, N/S one cannot be changed other than with a new drag link.

Cheers Wammers. I've just this minute checked the advisory, it's the n/s drag link ball joint that has slight wear (it looks quite new) I'll replace the drag link & get a new ball joint for the other side to make life easier.
