Hi all - I have a 300tdi that refuses to start - just the click of a relay from under the passenger seat.

Happened a few weeks ago, and I rattled the auto back and forward and she started, but nothing now.

I've picked up a inhibit switch for the gearbox, but is there any way to bypass it so I can get her moved and onto a ramp? (Or is there something else i'm forgetting to check?)

inhibitor switch is on lhs front of auto box ,it has a connector 30 cm from switch usually resting on top of box ,connector has 4 wires 2 for reverse lights 2 for inhibitior just make a lead to connect the 2 for inhibitor

Thanks James - I presume I can only access the connector from the underside? (Should mention there's no activity from the starter.

id try making a little lead with female end on to replace solenoid feed and touch other end to battery lead on starter, you could use old screw drivere etc but can be tricky ,ensure box is in park or neutral first,

Thanks all - anyone any idea if it's possible to do this from inside the cab, so I can get her started and moved to somewhere I can get underneath to do this?
