hi,
basically took out my clarion unit today,
was replacing it with my sony explode ive had in the garage for a bit,
once took it out found the pink plug had 10 iso connnectors where as my sony only has 8
is there any way to make this fit any sort of wiring adaptors anyone can suggest or any cutting and shutting i need to do. thanks

An adapter is available on ebay for the 10 pin pink connector, that is claimed to work with your Harmon Kardon amplifier set-up. I don't know if it works yet, cos I'm doing the same thing with mine. Another kit is available from Nexxia (nexxia.com) claiming to do the same. They aren't cheap-£43 ish, but better than trying to work out the wiring on your exisiting set-up. I understand each speaker has it's own amplifier+a subwoofer in the left of the boot. Good luck

Nexxia piece of skit didn't work for my Clarion HK as for many others from various boards over the world.

That's why i asked for a refund and made my own amp converter box.

I still benefit from the OEM amps and my new HU even drives the subwoofer.

10 way connector isn't the biggest problem, a cutted 8 way works. 2 pins that goes to orange and orange/black cable (subwoofer) can be linked to a wire and a RCA plug (for the RCA sub/out of the new HU)

Sound is perfect, much more power than the stock HU but still Harman Kardon clear sound!!

thanks for the replies,
im not that clued on with wiring so im not really sure what im doing.
i might try that harness of ebay and see if it works other than that is there anybody who knows how to do it that lives in the rugby area that could fit it for me??
