Lucky m8 me erelstoke just fitted new winch going to get yellow thing for steering wheel in a mo too close they go any direction on planes
 
This all seems a little too close to being a successful theft! Best way to get he old bill out in a hurry is to let them know that you use the landy for transporting your shotguns around... they'll be out bloody quick then!
 
Just interrupt the solenoid exiter wire with a hidden £2 switch you wont start it with the keys. I have done it to all my diesels.

I like the sound of this idea, there would be no ill effects from someone attempting to start forcefully would there?
 
No ill effects at all.

However, if you have a couple of spare slots on a bank of switches, mount one upside down and one the right way up with the circuit going through both!

Use dirty black wire!

I have two defender diesels and it is the brown/white wire going to the solenoid on both, you can interrupt it through an unused switch on the dash or fit a micro switch which can be hidden anywhere you like.
