hi, I need to fix the bottom of my 90's front doors as they have rusted to nothing. A mate of mine sugggested getting some defender door sections and just using tiger seal to fix them to the door rather than weld them in place. Has anybody had any success doing this. It seems a bit too easy to me. Also a bit unsafe.

Cheers

frame will need welding ,skin to frame doesnt

There is no "Ally" welding required. When you come to cutting out the bottom part of the frame, all will become apparent. If you can cut and weld metal it's an easy job.

Cheers meego. My welding is iffy at best, so I'll see how I get on.
No problem mate. I assume you will be using a mig ?? Don't have it set too high and make sure the old part of the frame is cut back to good clean, rust free metal. Take measurements of the door frame before you cut the the old bit out.
