I've just bought a TD5 GS 2001 (52000 miles landrover service history) and am a bit worried as the ACE warning lights do not come on at all. I have felt the unit - located on underside of car - it's warm after use and the fluid is at the correct level and whooshes about when the engine is on. The car drives well in straight lines and bends. Because there is apparantly a Red and Amber bulb I feel it a bit too much of a coincidence. Any ideas .... ?

i thought the amber light was to warn fluid was low and the red to say there is a problem, if they don't come on then surely everything is fine ;)

I'd like to say great, but the owner's handbook says that the lights should come on for 2 seconds when you turn the ignition to position 2 and then go out with the rest of the warning lights to say all is well.., unless i've read it wrong !! :(

I have that many giggle lights come on when I turn the ignition on that I cant see which ones are on and which arent unless I am wearing sunglasses!!!;)

Its all too stressful trying to work out what's what in 2 seconds....I just wait to make sure that they all go OFF!!!!

Ok..call me an ostrich...lol... after all, we got sh*tloads of sand out here!

We don't have sunglasses here.., we don't need them so there !!. I will eat my roast beef and then try it with sunglasses.

Cheers
