On the twentieth of december I purchased a car for the wife and a roofrack for my defender
The car had a couple of minor niggles which he didn't fix, charged me additionally for a battery, told me he would change the gas struts on the bonnet free of charge, which he didn't . The Front runner roof rack was £750 and he assured me he'd deliver it, but just had to find the feet, in a bag somewhere in the workshop
Car delivered start of january, roofrack to follow on later, car was a mess, no struts, seat belt alarm continual, mould in the back seats
Much later, car sorted, no roof rack, and the guys refusing to answer calls, reply to messages emails or texts
18th of march car still showing as unregistered regardless of his statement that he'd do it
So too late i read reviews on his highly polished websited business
Oh dear
so after a 10 week period of "roof rack or refund' I finally had enough
it was obvious he had no intention of returning my money so I reported him for theft, took the crime reference to my bank. First they said it was a civil thing as I'd made payments to him before and I'd have to take him to court. I pointed out that the payments were all at the same time and when I made the 750 payment, I hadn't yet received the vehicle
Finally they relented when I pointed out that the bank account was a private individual they did some checking, it has happened before, so they refunded my 750 as it was a scam to offer something for sale with no intention of delivering it
So if you have any dealings with Arrowworks, be very very careful this took from 20th december to 27th march to sort out, and I've told the police I am willing to give evidence should they prosecute this attempted theft.
Be safe all
