Hi all, traditional presentation of a new forum user : Frenchy (you'd have guessed), 46yo (almost) , I am a dog Trainer and recently acquired a 37th hand LR (2003 TD4 auto) which is, obviously, why I came in here! It seems I'll need infos as not everything is as it should. What else? Well, my knowledge about mechanical matters can be resumed to : I know my car is green. And it is a diesel. Hope that helps.

That's great welcome - now how can I stop my excited 6 month old labrador jumping at strangers?

If its a Discovery TD4 it could be many issues, same if its a Freelander TD4 - I would ask in that forum area. But as these tend to be big boys toys 18 -36 mpg it's irrelevant, you get what you get. With my limited knowledge of cars I'd start with a good service and ensure nothings blocked, or you could unhook the caravan that usually helps :D

18mpg is low for a Freelander 1 Td4 diesel. Unless yer keep hoofing it or constant driving around town. Pop over to the Freelander section for elp.
