im ready for the snow but the 2 inch gap at the top of my door is annoying, although dosen't seem such an issue now that the door keeps flying open . ROLL ON THE SNOW

I've started using my landy to commute to work. My daily driver decided to explode the coolant expansion bottle so I'm waiting for parts.
Any way. All I can say for my 1st winter using the landy as a commuter is that its fecking cold!! I need to invest in some gloves. I'm sure my perkins has no thermostat fitted. But I've never actually checked.

Hi Locky - have you tried blocking the radiator - I bought a rad-muff and it makes a huge difference to the temperature.

A question for the group. I've noticed that for the first half mile my motor feels like the brakes are binding slightly, enough to hold it on a slight incline. After a while this goes away. I'm pretty sure its not the brakes, diffs or gearbox. Would the one-shot grease in the swivels get thick/frozen to cause this? It only happens when its below freezing.

I've got my rad partially blocked, hat and gloves, cheapo fan/heater keeping my side of the windscreen vaguely de-iced and it's still freezing, after the 5 mile commute it is just about warmer inside than out :)

watching the fuel gauge go down and thinking about the price of petrol keeps me warm inside tho :censored:

this weekends project is to try and make the heater work better!

Got one of them windscreen silver thingy to put over the rad. Oils except diff checked. ( can't open that :/)

Will have my second seat sorted soon so comfy heated seats

It shouldn't be that cold. Check your stat's working, you'll get better mileage when the engine's running warm as the compression should be a bit better.

I fitted a defender blower with a series heater matrix - gives a bit more poke to the heater but not much.

After engine's warm was comfortable with coat off in today's cold weather....after a long run need to turn heater down or open window. Thats with a very leaky cloth-top....

I NEED SOME OFF ROAD TYRES :'(

might as well be in a feckin corsa with these road tyres i have on at the moment.

Anyone?

donations welcome...

Just been out in the Snow here, the S3 on Mud Terrains was totally boss, was gliding up steep hills past abandoned Renault Migraines etc.... Got to my office and they shut it for the day, so back home now! Perfect.

I packed the ropes but sadly no Artic Lorries to rescue whilst on my travels. I left the hatchbacks :pound:

Poor scrappy missing out on the fun. :(
