Will soon be getting my new Paddocks High Performance discs fitted to my Defender. So looking at the photo below, which way should they be fitted? Assuming this is the discs outer face, should it be fitted rotating clockwise, or anticlockwise. Or doesn't it matter?

They'll only go one way. Hub fits in recess

That's the inner face showing.

According to the link above..

Bottom line - don't use the slots to decide which side to mount the rotor. Pay attention to the internal cooling vanes.

Not sure what they mean by internal cooling vanes, are they easy to see? Im at work right now, but my discs are at home.

yep, thems is easy to see, look at the edge of the disc and you will see the vanes sandwiched between the two parts of the disc

look down the edge between the 2 discs ,but with those put the slot so center part is forward and outer leans back

Thanks. So it appears the visible slots are irrelevant and the internal cooling vanes determine the direction. Thanks for the help:)

When the directional rotors are properly installed, these internal vanes should lean toward the back of the car

For slotted rotors with straight internal cooling vanes, the direction of the slots is totally up to you and what you think looks best. In this case, there is no wrong answer.

I'm easily confused.

Do you mean that with solid I can fit whichever way around I want?
fit that one on the lhs ,if you look at slot it wants to bend backwards so part of slot near the hub center hits pad first leaving the outer most part trailing after, it collects dust and thriows it out rather thasn toward hub then

Id put them on leaning backwards, I seem to remember from my boyracer days that grooves facing forwards give slightly better cooling, but can cause faster pad wear.

I might also be talking ****e, but its one of those things I'm sure I read in Max power or similar, and its stuck.
