Hi is there any fuses under the passengers seat on a right hand drive 2.5 diesel auto. I believe there's a fuse for neutral on the gearbox not the transfer box. I want to see if it is blown.
Thanks
No all fuses are in either the BECM or the engine compartment fuse box. Why do you ask?
Of course on LHD vehicles fuses are under passenger seat. What problems do you have?I just read something about a neutral fuse than can blow and cause auto transmission problems but I think they were talking about lhd vehicles.
I can't go forwards, reverse appears to work. It shows on dash what gear is selected. Checked gearbox oil all ok fitted another xyz switch. It tries to go forward but feels like it's struggling and stuck in 4th. When you put it in drive the revs drop as if it's gone in but accelerate and nothing really happens. If you rev it hard it makes a clunk then says gearbox fault. So I think the gearbox itself is broken.Of course on LHD vehicles fuses are under passenger seat. What problems do you have?

I have a feeling it's been towed as the transfer neutral fuse was in when I bought it but it didn't go into neutral. I can still get it to move if I put the transfer neutral fuse in. So who ever towed it probably didn't realise it didn't put the transfer box in neutral. Thanks for your help.Maybe you have lost a sprag clutch. Drive selection is manual all other clutches are electrically switched. Sometimes if you loose a sprag clutch you can drive if you select 1 and change up manually. Other than that sounds like you have a serious problem.

It still drives with the fuse in but says transfer neutral on dash. I just took it for a drive and it does move but it's very sluggish stuck in one gear like limp mode.It should not go anywhere with fuse 11 in.

I've put power to the transfer box motor and it works. It also goes into low range with the gear stick so the motor is working. If I put the fuse in the motor makes no noise just the transfer neutral on dash. But I've taken the fuse out now. It feels like it's trying to pull away in 4th. The sport button works before it puts a gearbox fault on the dash. So it's pointing to the box can't think of anything else that I can check.Obviously the transfer box is not in neutral or it would not move. Should not move at all with fuse in and transfer neutral lit. Think a good look at the transfer box motor is sensible idea before you bugger something completely up.

Ok so before I rip the box out what checks can I do on the ecu's if any?As said, drive is selected, (Fluid to main forwards or reverse clutch) manually. The position of the XYZ switch then tells the ECU to power various solenoids within the box to close the clutches needed for each gear. You may have a couple of knackered ECUs.
Hi yes with fuse 11 in it still drives in reverse no problem. I can move the transfer box motor by putting power to it but it makes no noise when the fuse is inserted. I'm going to send the gearbox ecu off to be checked first, is this under the passenger seat?Ok so before I rip the box out what checks can I do on the ecu's if any?

I would but I don't know anyone that can diag the gearbox no one has the correct diagnostic reader. You could put the car on diag that would tell you if something is not as it should be. But there is definitely something wrong somewhere.

Look on LZ international rescue map and see if anybody has a Nanocom near you. Then PM them. Sure they would do it for a few beers.
