I've used britpart...its all about budget I'd rather have drive around with parts from em that a knackered bit on me old girl.If your short on cash anything is better than a BUS.

I don't understand how garages can get away with it, we all know britpart sell some right bad rubbish but time and time again I hear ''we fit it with no problems'' from garages.

How long does a garage warrant its work for? A year?

Yes, well we do, 12 months 12,000 miles parts and labour, unless its a battery then it could be upto 4 years.

Unless the parts are supplied by the customer then no warranty or guarantee given.

because not all britpart parts are ****e so you dont fit those that are or from any other either

I've been using Britpart on mine for the last 15 years, no issues.

It's a case of statistics that cause so much bad press... Britpart are probably the largest supplier of Land Rover parts and therefore they will have the larger portion of complaints. It's just numbers.

I'm also sure a large part of complaints are from people not fitting parts correctly in the first place.

If Britpart could do anything to change perception then a good bit of PR is required to make them look as though they are running a continuous improvement program.

Land Rover themselves have come under a lot of criticism for lacking reliability, and are working hard to change perception. However we still all buy old Land Rovers instead of an apparently more reliable Toyota... That's a whole different argument though. :)

Ha ha. DLS have a banner advert for britpart
and where do DLS get their parts from ?

retailers tend to use all 3 of the main wholesalers plus lr ,the best retailers would generally make an order up using the best (going by price and quality )parts using several wholesale sources
