I am wondering whether the springs on my 90 (not driven it yet) are going to be soft or hard.
They are standard ones ..

I am fitting HD springs to the rear as I do a lot of towing and this will help the 90 to sit level with a car trailer on.
My 110 had Disco springs on the front and standard 110 on the rear which was perfect for me as the ride was good. It dipped under braking and lifted the bonnet when the old V8 was booted. It rolled a bit on corners but I didn't mind as the front axle articulation was good when on the bumpy stuff.

What I'm wanting to know is whether Disco fronts are softer than standard 90 ones. Please dont post numbers as I'm an old person, just yea or nay will do

thanks....:)

front ns 9446 os 9447 standard springs

Yes BUT......are they soft or ard..?
Softer than Disco or harder than Disco do you think, Disco ones seem soft when you are driving and they are comfy, do you think 90 fronts would be less comfy than disco ?

or should I get 87398's

I thought u won the lottery buy a new RR

That wouldn't tell me if the 90 springs were soft or hard now would it and when did I mention winning the lottery?
Just said I had won a few million and it was a hypothetical scenario:D

Just as a matter of interest I went into the Kia dealership a while ago asking for details of their new cars. I was ignored at first and had to approach a salesperson who was a bit off ish as I had just climed out of the 110 and was wearing rigger boots and me old jacket. He told me that the pug dealership down the road sells new cars as well. So what the **** chance would I have in a RR dealers showroom, they would escort me to the door sharpish in case I upset the posh people.

It is always the people who look poor that are rich and the posh ****s are up to there eye balls in debt. I turned up to a dearler showroom in a tracksuit at 18 and inquired about a brand new 19k motor and they laughed at me, so I called him a few words and went to another sales man and brought it. He was gutted lost his commission. And to answer your question I don't know

Disco rear springs are harder than Def90's because they carry more unlearn weight, so assuming the fronts would follow suit?

Well, I'm putting HD springs on the rears for towing so just have to suck it and see with the fronts. I've got some Disco fronts spare so can swap them if the 90's are too hard for me. But are the Discos even harder??:scratching_chin:

as would be said to a nooby - do a search and all will be revealed, in Redhands font of all knowledge it gives all the spring rates and heights

As I said in my first post, I dont understand numbers, are they harder or not?

The Disco fronts I put on the 110 were softer than the original 110 ones .:)

all dependant on engine a disco tdi front spring is harder than a V8 because the V8 is lighter than the diesel engine. How many lbs an inch do you want? You can get 133lbs inch to 230 plus per inch find out what is std and drop a few lbs but just saying disco means nowt unless you know what spec it was
