Will a 300tdi injection pump fit a 200tdi.?

I ask as I have a 300 pump and would like to stick it on the 200 to eliminate a pump problem with the 200 if you know what I means.

They look very similar and I dont care if it will be over or under fueled as I only want to see if the engine will run something like with a different pump on as it wont run propper with the 200 pump.

then I can get a 200 pump for it if that turns out to be the problem

they are the same - part number is the same on microcat - have fitted them from 1 to the other myself

its how we get the electronic control off the later 300's

Ah've just had a look at the parts catalogue and it's showin' part # ERR1333 fur the 200tdi and part # Err4419 fur the 300tdi. Dunno if they're interchangable or not as never done it yet mesel'

ere buster - can yu look in the parts book for the tbox front output shaft nut - does it say wot fred it is - or pn plse?

could be the early ones were the same (he says hopefully)

Doesn't say what fred it is Daft, but the part # is NY120041L if that's any help. Oh, and that's fur the lt77S and LT85. Just looked and it's an M20

Any one know the pressures at which the 300 tdi injectors open at and is it a lot more than 200tdi

reason for asking is that I'm about to try 300 injectors in the 200 to see if it will run without misfiring, just to test if my injectors are ok or not.
I've had the 200's tested but it seems to be an injector problem so need a second opinion.

300 tdi injectors are smaller in diameter than 200 tdi injectors and so will not fit
