Engine starts fine from cold.... I dont have much derv in it right now, so its almost empty, anyone have the part number for the maf pipe? I think I will get a one piece pipe

It's not a MAF pipe it's the pressure pipe from manifold to MAP sensor (Manifold absolute pressure sensor). Just a piece of spill pipe. Or STC4165 if you want to pay £6.72 for 530 mm or so of 3.2 mm bore pipe.

Gona have another look at it 2morrow morning and have a proper look at it, I only herd it this am, and popped the bonnet and saw that, and took a vid of it, didn't investigate it any further, and just thought I would ask if it was meant to have air in the pipe

I replaced the same piece of pipe on mine, it had gone hard and brittle (the pipe that runs from the filter to the FIP). My local indie ordered it in for me. I think it was nearly £20.00 but i had the right fitting (with the spring clip) to attach to the fuel filter housing and the right fitting to attach to the FIP.
When I collected it I asked the guy in the parts department why it looked like a pigs tail with the twists and turns in it, he replied that he wasn't sure but there must be a reason why they make it like that!!
I know this probably doesn't solve your problem but there must a reason why Land Rover decided to use twice as much pipe as was needed to connect the fuel filter housing to the Fuel Injection Pump.

Dave
