Having not swallowed the electric car pill I am not that keen to get into electric while it's still clearly an unsustainable alternative.
Unsustainable in which way?
Electricity can be made completely green and for free if solar is installed to charge a vehicle battery. No liquid fuel is sustainable, and definitely not recyclable.
If you can make electric work for you, then it's the best current technology available. ;)

There's no such thing as completely green energy.
Will nuclear fusion every be a reality? If you could build a reactor into a car so you can do away with a battery, then it's likely as close as you can get.

No, that's correct. Lower pollution at the point of use is more accurate. Electric vehicles don't output UFPs, NOX, CO2, and only small amounts of larger particulates from brakes and tyres. And of course if you have solar on your roof, and use it to charge the car, then an EV is much much less expensive to run compared to a liquid fuel vehicle.

I'm really interested in running this clean alternative in the Landy.
I think that is a very flawed reason for this. Do it for money or performance. But claiming it as clean is a load of f'ing ballwax!!!!! Being a human being and having clothes, houses, heating, farmed food and transport all pollute and use natural resources. Probably best to just get over it and enjoy live.

Not saying things can't be done to impact or improve the environment. But 1 vehicle will make no odds what so ever, no matter how much you lie to yourself that it will.

Well it isn't 100% green, where do you think solar panels come from ffs 😂 Not to mention the raw materials that go into EV car production and especially the batteries.

Lithium mining.....

Also lets not forget that almost hardly any electricity is produced by solar power and the vast majority of people will not be using electricity from this means.

And this is all the minor stuff.....

The biggest issue with EV's is there is no proper infrastructure to support them. Realistically every EV needs a charging point...

There are over 33 million cars in the UK. That is a lot of charing points.

And for a great many people in the UK there are not practical ways to charge at home.

You can't be guaranteed to even park near your house. EV charging is never going to work in places like this.

I'm not against EVs, I have one on demo this week in fact. But they simply aren't viable as a direct replacement for the masses. At least not with current technology levels.
