Oh dear sorry to here this.
I found my next door neighbour when I came in from work 3 years ago sitting out side in the sun
which was the norm for him, I always had wee chat but he was slurring his words & talking in
riddles, done a few tests on him & called an ambulance they took over an hour to get here.
He made a great recovery within six months :)

Keep us posted & all the folks at the loonyzone are wishing him a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear the news...hope he has a speedy and good recovery..thanks for letting us know and our thoughts to all of his family as well...Rob&Lucy...

Some good news, at least. Yesterday he lifted his (paralysed) right arm to wave at me - and he's getting movement back in his right leg (albeit limited). His mood is lifting, after fighting off the infections - and he asked me (or rather, nodded when I asked the question) to say hi and thanks to everyone on LandyZone - he hopes to be back soon. Thanks to all who've posted - it cheered him up (and me, too). OSB x

Even better today - R leg and arm both moving (albeit 'lazily'), and he managed to yell across the ward as I was leaving: "I really love you". (You can imagine that's made me feel as if I'm floating on air - he'd been building up to it for about 3 or 4 minutes!) He's on the up!!

Give your husband our very best wishes again. :)

Maybe better not tell him that your like to post ratio is much better than his yet, though! ;):D

Seriously? I thought he spent tons of time on here? Better check his porn sites - only joking (I hope).
He has spent a lot of time on here. And has posted a lot more times than you, but you have many more likes per post than he does.
Sorry, likes are a bit of a joke on the forum, maybe should have left that one.

Thanks, everyone - I've even written down your member names so that he knows he's got lots of support! OSD's doing quite well - although it's going to be a long road to recovery. Speech is getting stronger, but still hard to understand. He tends to think of a phrase to say, and all the words run into one another - so we're working on one word at a time, which is better. Arm and leg movement are still improving, but it may be a while before R leg will support him - although physio say his core strength is excellent, which helps with balance. Our son is coming up from Barnsley again tomorrow, which always cheers him up - hopefully a good weekend ahead. Then, on Monday, back to physio boot camp!! Have a good weekend, folks! xx
