Hey guys,

just wondered if anyone knows what colour this could be? It’s not the original colour of the defender but not sure if it’s a genuine LR colour or not?

Any ideas?

Is it possible to contact whoever had the vehicle repainted?

Other possibility would e to find a motor factor that does paint near to you & see if they have a spectrophotometer they could use on the car to see if it comes up with a suitable match - which it MIGHT give as a particular car colour.

Failing that, if you want to do some paintwork then you'll have to have an eyematch done, again a motor factor job & they'd need a piece of the car.
I've had this done many times for caravan body repairs which I do profesionally for a local caravan dealer.
1/2 litre to exact match cost me around £80 in Lesonal SB basecoat. Usually that will then match other caravans by the same manufacturer.
A 'chip match' where they compare colour swatches against the part would be cheaper but when you're working in the middle of a panel the match needs to be perfect.
Works very well on white caravans & the yellowy/gold coloured Baileys. For the latter I have 4 different shades as they've changed over the years & the latest ones are almost white. Silver caravans are a complete no unless you can paint a panel edge to edge, which would generally mean a complete side respray so best avoided if you're in the market for a caravan.

I’m looking to repaint the interior (seatbox/front of rear tub/floor pans)

I’ve been debating either doing it in bed liner? Or normal black or the same colour as the outside

To me it looks lie a fresh coat of Land Rover Arles Blue LRC424. I remember mine came out much darker than the original.

Yours just looks like a badly prepped job and top coated with ready mixed Arles Blue without cutting it back. Get a small can made up and give it a test.
