Hi all as the title says does anyone know the ral colour for the dark landrover green ie coniston green or similar as I am going to be using tekaloid in the next few weeks . I have looked through the colour charts buy can't see the ral versions

Bh

Have you thought of asking the supplier of the tekaloid painf for it??

Or try googling Stephen Hull Paint??

I checked Steven hull but I could not see a code in ral . I also asked the supplier and they told me the only other way is to match it to a sample of the green :-/

So get stephen Hull to supply it or give the supplier the landy paint code If they can't match it off that their cowboys and you need to find a dcecent paint supplier.

Can I ask why you're using tekaloid. It gives a lovely finish But can't be teecut if it gets scratched. It's not designed for use as a car paint. It a coach builders paint..

What paint would you recommend then as I always thought that's the paint that was used when not using 2/pack ie roller or brush application

I used International exterior Satin Black, for me 90. and rollered it on..

Do a search of Nobber's posts., he did his with Tekaloid Was an epic of a paint job.

lrc001 which is earliest bronze green is similar also know as aston green.

Yeah mine is a 84 too but it's I light blue at minute and I dont really like it so was looking for a change with a dark Green. now I am unsure of what paint to use ah too many choices .... I wouldn't care but I am powder coating by trade

well, with you there. as much as i would like to do an exact colour match, its old paint and not sure it will blend well. want to keep the look i have so this summer i will take some time off and do a nice job on it. i do like atlantic green. lighter almost grey green in colour

take it to a decent bodyshop supplys one that supplys bodyshops that do insurance work , and ask them to scan the colour , they will be able to get it to around 92%...

its not so much being able to get the shade right, more that areas have faded, so either do patches or go for whole lot.

You got to be careful, my 1997 110 looks the same colour as chunkymunkeys, but I parked it by another defender the other day which i thought was the same and it was way off, there has to be a paint code somewhere shirley.
