Totally illegal here. We have a bio-diesel refinery near us, reputedly all the output goes to Germany as it cannot be sold here.
A new service station has opened near us, it sells just one fuel at 1€20 a litre seems to be for lorries not sure what it is, only ever see the odd lorry on there and it is not manned, one of my sons mates did the ground work for the sight but did not get a straight answer as to what it was,

There are many of those unmanned truck fill up stations around, as far as I'm aware, you need a special card to access them and be part of some scheme or other.

that is if it has the same output as GPL but maybe it has more power per litre
I'm not aware of any gas for vehicles with a higher energy density than GPL so it would be interesting if that were the case. I'm more inclined to think it's a figure to discourage car drivers from stopping:rolleyes:

If it had more butane or even a bit of pentane it was have a bit more heat. Or even some enes or ynes, like acetylene!

Yes it will run very well on svo, you can mix 5% unleaded to thin and winterise it. My local cash n carry I think is doing 20litre for £19.95.

The bosch ve injection pump and injectors handle it great.
Until the HP o rings leak.... I know I've done it twice. Budget for a Viton o ring change and all is fine and dandy

Isn't it slightly not legal unless you pay some fuel duty ?
Nope, not illegal at all. I think there is a rule on so many thousand litres of the stuff to be used without paying / declaring duty. I'm sure it works out at 12,000miles a year equivalent. I did 12,000 and a little bit miles in one year in mine when the HP o ring finally let go. Very messy and drips diesel/petrol/cooking oil mix everywhere and it sets into a nasty coating all over the engine and underneath of the car that's hard to remove :D
