Hi Guys,
Have new problem with the td4.
It's a bitch to start when warm. Starts first thing with glowplug light on( bit of smoke ) but say I go for a drive and leave it stood for a few hours, chokes its guts up with smoke and takes a good while to start. This is my first and prob last freelander I will own.
Had it about a month, have changed oil and filters, crankcase breather, glowplugs, bypassed egr, thermostat mod, cleaned inlet and intercooler pipes, did a leak off test and seems to be ok.
Have Delphi diagnostics and no fault codes at all , looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and take it to my local Landy specialist.
Id say the smoke is blue/white, when running it doesn't kick any out.
Ive taken the readings of high and low pressure fuel with ignition on and cranking:
Low Ignition - 365 kpa
Low Cranking - 360 kpa
High Ignition - 0
High Cranking - 38847 kph
Idle figures are:
low 360.8 kph
High 28700 kpa
Does anyone know what the figures should be, or have any ideas ?
Many Thanks
