Which would you recommend for my prob and best place to get one please

None if you are looking at buying one. You can do more with a nanocom than you can with any of those I listed and for a lot less money.

Snapon diagnostics do 99% of cars on the road so cost a lot more. £1k to £6k

hmmm sorry to take the thread off topic a little bit wonder about the mt2500 theres loads on ebay

If it has landrover on the cartridge then I don't see why not.

£150 gets a snap on mt2500 geared up and ready for freelanders . Anybody want to form a cooperative and share ?

i was under the impression that snap on equipment wasnt the best

was at the garage last week and there verus wouldnt connect to the ABS and the verus is a newer scanner than the mt2500

Told a by supplier he could supply one totally kitted up for Landys and tailored for Freelander

dnt get me wrong it read engine but not much but that was it

and i can only say what information that i no and have come across

im about to buy a hawkeye end of the week/ nextweek

if im wrong please anyone tell me coz id rather spend money on a tool i can use more than just my freelander

yeah being saving for a while for the hawkeye but thats only because i was told snap on scanners didnt work the abs and stuff

id rather have a snap on gear as i do work with mates on there cars so would be a useful tool for me to own but not if it doesnt work mine as mines more important lol

Your dead right not sure why but this old Landy has gotten under skin love it to bits , my grandson nicknamed her Hetty and its stuck

You sure it wasn't cos they were using the incorrect personailty key? It could also have been a complete loss of communication between the ecu and the abs systen which means it can't be read. Have you ever tried watching tv without plugging it in first? same difference.;)

all they said was it connected to abs but when tried to read anything it just lost communications

had that at 2 garages where they use snap on gear
