Anyone had any experiences of fitting them to a D1 ? Cant quite figure how they fit in

I know someone with something similar in a fender.

They fit in a standard 7" sealed beam housing.

Not sure how you would get a round lamp in a square hole without a lot of work. I would like to improve my D2 H/L's (same as D1 I think) but not sure how.

Ive got em on my project..........

You can see the bowls they are fitted in, could make a flat panel & fit the bowls into them.

The bay of E sell the full kit including the surround if you look hard enough, I toyed with the idea a while ago. If I can find a link I'll post it. They also do rears too

Yeah too expensive considering the link for the lights in the OP are £58 a pair ! I'll have to wait for the Puma switch to turn up to get my driving lamps up & running.

Anything is possible with imagination and a welder, as I have completed changed the headlights in my 300 tdi with outers from the face-lift and hella bi-xenons
