My Mate is a Blacksmith and he's making me a full bumper with bull bar on it. If you can wait a bit I'll send pics and if you like it you can order one.Hi,
Struggling to find a bull bar that I want, is anyone able to make one?
Yeahh that surprised me..Not strictly true .. "However, since 25 May 2007, it has been an offence for bull bars that have not been approved as compliant with those safety standards to be sold." Which I read to mean a Bull bar cannot be made to be sold unless it complies with the safety standards. That doesn't mean you can't fabricate one for your own use.

Cool, where did yu find that information?

Here in Portugal inspection \mot centres are government licenced non repair drive through buildings ,they I hear ,are now failing any outside accessories that are non vehicle manufacturer supplied bars\winchs extra lights and snorkels don't know about roof racks.
We have never been able to alter tyre or wheel sizes or tint Windows if it's not on the cars papers.
But there's certain ways around somethings just depends where you leave the 20€ note! until traffic cops do a road side stop though!!
We got pulled in Slovakia for driving with no lights ( daytime ) in my mates UK Navara. As it was a brand new model on UK plates they assumed we were minted and tried 'fining' us €300. They hadn't spotted our wives in the back, both Slovakian, who basically told them we won't do it again, but we won't be paying the fine as we'd go straight to the cop shop and snitch on them and then tell the news channel. Thought it was a risky ploy, but it worked!Same in Slovakia... I've misplaced a few 20EUR notes as well. As long as its in the paperwork nobody asks any questions

I've been about 15 times so I must like something! Going again for a week or two in August, leaving the missus there with the kid for a few weeks and coming home on my own for a few weeks of peace and quiet, result!Sorry to hear you had such an experience and good that you didn't take the police's ****. You have to be quite firm with the police over here, when you politely stand your ground they always back down. Other than that hope you liked Slovakia
