HELLO I have just joined the LANDYZONE and have (i hope) come up with a wicked idea.I dont know how many people are familiar with the area i live, (which is ROSES in CATALUÑA SPAIN) but i literally have access to miles and miles of dirt tracks scatered all over the mountains which overlook the town of ROSES. Ranging from gentle but bouncy dirt tracks to some areas which are quite precarious.My idea is as follows :My wife and i also rent out several apartments in the area (some right through the year) so on one of my mountain trips the other day i thought hey perhaps other people would be interested in doing this from the LANDYZONE.So if any persons are interested in combining a holiday and a lot of fun in their landies please contact me (also if your partner dont like the off road stuff (my wife doesnt) they could have a total chill out as well ...everybody's happy) Also i can also arrange SCUBA DIVING. Costs Will Depend On What Time Of Year You Are Thinking About, And The Length Of Your Stay......... A Ballpark Figure For This Time Of Year Is Approximately €300 Per Week For Up To 4 People. (approx 210.00 Gbp). This Includes Self Catering Accomodation And 1 Off Roading Excursion Per Day And Light Refreshments.
If You Want Any Pictures Etc. Of The Area And Accomodation, Just Let Me Know.

Is there anything for children to do in the area?

Hi Treev, as far as things for children to do again it depends on the time of year at the moment it is quiet and obviously getting dark early so i would say that there isnt a lot at the moment..There is skiing avaliable not far from here ( its a good hour or a little more's drive) but from April May on things start to warm up so there is a lot more to do ,my self and my children spent most days in the sea snorkelin from May till end of September, but in June the local water park opens and there is also a new swimming pool being built in Roses, and you also have the regular boat excursion etc. It also depends on the ages of the kids and there likes, in the winter my lot do a lot of roller blading and my 2 boys love coming with me up the mountains ( in the freebie of course) to take the dogs out.I will try my best to post some pics of the terrain this week but we are in the process of moving in a week or so, so i dont know when exactly i will be up the mountains ( also there is the little prob i got wi the freebie, i really think its the IRD

will know for certain when i go to the dealers this week)
I did think i had some on my camera but it seems they are full of my kids and dogs....they are the loves of my life ..and my wife of course

.So i will keep you all posted.

Again thanks for the interest, i am going to do my best this week to get some pics of the terrain and the area....as i told treev all mine got me kids in..hopefully they shall be on real soon...and i really hope that this idea kicks off it would be nice to have some company on me jaunts ....and maybe a few beers in the evenings as well...Cheers

Hi treev. believe me mate you wouldnt want to be in the water at the moment...i do scuba diving as well and the last time i was in the drink i had a 5mm wet suit an under suit and a 3mm shorty on top and it was still a bit chilly.

(then about 16 degrees ) in the summer its about 23-25 then its real fun, also at the moment the mountains about an hour from us are covered in snow (again il get some pics for all you guys to see) and it is a bit cold .But apart from that i wouldnt change a thing it is SUPERB living here...oh by the way it was the prop shaft support bearings ( re strange rumble) just in case you havent read the other thread....cheers again

Only in the winter Grunt!!!!like today...bloody orrible it is...cold and raining as i write this.( not as bad as the uk though looks like a christmas card on sky news) but in the spring and summer....you could wear a pair a shorts all day mate........or what ever your prefered clothing is.....
