+1 to that, but usually, from memory, on the Honda's I've had, those switches inhibit cranking.

Run/stop switch on my old '91 cbr6 lets it crank over but not fire.


If you had an engine firing on 3 cylinders would you take off the cylinder head and replace valves and pistons first or would you check plugs, leads, coils etc first.;)

or just do a compression test first...
 
i wish it was! work, weather, women, kids, etc have all conspired to stop me getting any where near the bloody thing, with a bit of luck i might get a couple of hours on it at the weekend

If it makes you feel any better, my dodgy hand has stopped me riding this year - I got out twice, and one of those was a 4 mile round trip for the MOT!
