I used to work for a well known breakdown service (the ones with the yellow vans!) And this issue was a regular breakdown for us to attend.... Our solution (this was the official fix) was to remove fuse 20 (as i remember) from the panel below the drivers seat, attach a tow rope, and tow the vehicle atleast 500yards away from the filling station, remove the tow rope, replace the fuse, lock the car using the remote, unlock the car using the remote and job done!

Someone as i remember did say that the electronics used in the fuel pumps at Shell filling stations, affected the radio frequency from the remote, causing the display to come up with engine disabled!!!

Also there was roumor that Shell had mobile phone signal transmitters in the Shell signs?????? How true that is who knows!

Fuse 11

Yep, should have said that, I was just correcting the fuse number:eek:

No probs Keith it's just that you might get some bozo finding a fuse missing, fitting one and wondering why he is getting a transfer box neutral message. It has been done. :):):)
