Hi,
we have a vintage 1986 V8 110 County station wagon which we have owned since new and the poor old lady is starting to act her age! Our main problem at the moment is a racing tickover once she has warmed up a bit!

We had a full Rimmer Bros stainless steel exhaust fitted a couple of years ago and it has always been a bit leaky at the manifolds but not a problem. Our latest 'excuse' after having a new vacuum bit fitted is that there is insufficient vacuum because of the exhaust ( been fine though until a week ago!)

We were wondering if it is getting a bit much for our local mechanic who has looked after her for 20+ years but is not a LR specialist, and would like a 'back up' in the local area. Has anyone got any views or info on reliable and reasonable LR specialists in the Fareham/ Botley area of Hampshire please?

I know of F&R commercials at Wickham and they seem to have been around a while - anyone got any comments about them as we don't want someone who will ' have a go'!!
Any help would be much appreciated!!

ive heard good things about west 4x4 but not used them my self. there is suppose to be a good carb place in soton, ask ragtag for the name, he was telling me.

Iv'e used West 4x4 a few times and they are / were really good. (Price and work)

try Brooklyn 4x4 i have delt with them for 15 years, talk to sarah !
