oops soz yes you're right. I guess in my mind the way I look at it is that I'm posting on a landrover site therefore I'm talking about a land rover. Introducing myself was next on my list which I have done briefly ;-) Just frustrated with the roof bars...... as Terry said probably clogged with muck

But just like Ford, VW, Toyota etc etc there are quite a few different models in the Land Rover range.

I was reading the posts half expecting to see "a blue one" in response to being asked which Land Rover you were talking about... :bolt:

actually its sky blue pink with yellow dots :D

Who is going to be first asking for a piccy "We likes piccies" or offering a tent for the "DO"

... and back on topic ..... :cheer2:

I have the same problem with mine, I have taken to using a rubber mallet to tap them along the tracks, a squirt of oil helps the process.

I think the real fix will be to shave the top of the feet down a mm or so.

At least is can be a cheap fix :D compared to all the other things that can go wrong.

If it is the cross bars you are taking off, there are two chamfered slots close together, this is where they lift out. You may need an allen key to slacken the width adjusting fixing which is under a plastic piece that slides off the top of the cross bar next to the lock.

You may already know, you can lock the suspension height in low for car parks by putting it in low and holding the height swicth in low until the locked warning lamp illuminates.

Cheers everyone.... I did manage in the end. I found a can of lubricant in garage and that did the job nicely by squirting underneath :) Needed them taking off so could park it in a multi story in Leeds city centre. Normally take other car but was due to snow at home hence taking my Disco....
