 i got 8 spokes too, and some chequer plating on the wings:eek: mind you the chequer plating does make me feel safer while i'm crawling around on the wings trying to reach things under the bonnet:p oh and it is painted black so it's not shiny gay, just matt gay lol:D

oh dear i may have to leave,, have just ordered 265 85 16 tyres with black modulars for my series 3 88 i bought limo black tint yestersay its already got twin twelve " 2000w subs and am about to hack into the body work tommorow and paint it satin black..... um it also has a cbr 600 titanium race can 4 an exhaust and a k and n air filter the sad thing is i am serious and 35 yrs old the wife hates it god i need to grow up ,, i will get my coat

the modifications I have done/ am doing are all easily reversible. im trying to make it suit my purposes a bit better, but I certainly don't want to do anything that can't be undone easily by another person.

One thing I would highly recomend is to replace your leafsprings for parabolic ones and gas shocks. The difference is amazing, better steering, braking and smoother ride. Plus it doesn't alter the original look

Way I see it, if you are planning to spend thousands on a concours pervert - great, leave it original, otherwise keep it running and enjoy it, mod it to suit YOU.

Just be mind full that you are modding a car that is 40 years old and they are getting few and far between....

hi guys, thanks for all the replies, it seems that anything goes apart from changing the shape of the beast, i also have a big boom box already fitted, got the tint ready to be fitted, no large exhaust but am considering a stainless steel one, got K&N fitted, and got chequer plate on it already, go 4 spots up top, two down front, and 4 on rear, changed the headlights, fitted cig lighter, scraping it all down at the moment ready to change the paint colour (not sure what colour yet but it wont be pink or camo)
also considering parabolic or coil springs and better shocks but would need to look into that more also have orders that comfy seats are to be put in - some research shows that almost any type of seat will with some adapting fit inside.
also not sure what to do about the dash either replace origional (or newly souced) or make one from either mdf or chequer plate......
am i in the wrong formums lol .......... will post some pics tomorrow to see if i am to be stonned at dawn....

Parabolics yes, coils are a fundamental change of the chassis and involves SVA stuff - don't go there!

some idiot in a jeep was following me yesterday, it wasn't a real offroader, more like an ugly convertible with a shiny red paintjob :puke2:

Painting a non-ex-military Nato Green.
Putting on a Defender front end.
That daft One Life Live It sticker.

(Just my opinion of course)
