Anyone in the leicester area can help me out. I think I need a resync turning over but not starting .... anyone with resync computer...? Replaced the tank fuel pump didn't think I would need a resync, but I just read that's its common is this true? New battery , one year old plugs,.. please help....

Try Armson Automotive in Syston

Do you think they will be open in the morning?
Really need some help, someone must have a sync mate stuck here in the missing rain 2 screaming kids and a moody other half. Saveeeee. Mmmmeeeee......

Update, had rac guy out this morning .. battery was flat ... jumped it still not firing.. he sprayed some stuff into the intake ...still nothing...spins over but just not firing. Could it still be a becm sync issue?
Running no problems previously start stop no issues.
Can't believe it.......

If its turning over I DOUBT its a Resync issue ... more likely a fueling issue have you bled out the fuel lines ????/ is there diesel getting to the engine ????

How can check if the fuel is getting to the engine? Surely the rac must of tried this.?
Running out of ideas...
I can't understand a sudden failure....

Crack the nut on the fuel pipe at the injector pump (The pipe from the fuel filter). Get someone to crank the engine whilst you are looking.

I would NOT trust the RAC as far as the end of my garden ...As long as they show up at a breakdown they have covered their arses .....

You know what RAC means ????...... NO!!! its NOT ROYAL AUTOMOBILE CLUB

Its Actually .......... ROB ALL COMERS

As John says Crack the nut at the injector pump & get someone to crank it over ............bet yer a quid theres NO FUEL there!!!!

Have a look at relay R12 in fuse box. Fuel pump relay. May be duff. To check if fuel pump runs take a measuring jug remove pipe from filter place in jug. With ignition switched OFF. Remove relay R12 in fuse box, take live from battery to contact 5 on relay socket bridge for 10 seconds pump should deliver at least 180 ml of fuel. If pump runs and delivers fuel change relay. But also check fuel shut off valve on FIP is actuating when ignition is on.

PS. How many threads do you want the same answers on?

Thanks for the replies.... not intentional to have multiple threads, sorry, but getting good replies from both...I need to find where this shut off valve is and how to repair or replace it.

the s/o valve is found on top of the fuel injection pump, you can,t miss it,it has 1 wire going to it which supplies 12v when the ignition is switched on.get someone to turn ign on whilst you listen/feel around the fip you,ll hear it click.

sorry just to confirm, if it is clicking then it is working?
if it is clicking and it still wont fire then what is next thing to try?
thanks for you all for your support. I will all buy you an electronic beer!
