I use a intek m-100, good quality sound, nice and small to for those who dont want a big radio.

I have a INTEK unlocked for more frequencies and unless your familiar with radio it is hard to tell as mode setup hides it.

Midland is one of the larger name brands. TBH ive had 3 two real old ones ( analougue dials) and they have all been midlands no problems just age got to them. I think to be hounest the biggest thing is the quality of your coax and areial as well as the earth.

I use a midland one from a show. Think it cost me about £80 for everything and I saved about £50 in total. It's spot on, I've had conversations with people from 20 miles away who were using CBs in their houses. It's currently not working but that's down to the cheapness of thunderpole's ariel wire which has snapped off of the bottom of the pole. It did break once off road. The screen just randomly exploded but they fixed it free of charge.

i got a midland one about just over a year ago now ...and its **** nowt but problems and it is now stuck on the eu setting so all i can get now is polls and truckers ....ive got a cheapy that works fine but the range is poor .....i borrowed a midland hand held the other day while greenlaneing and i was very very impresed ...even to the point where im gonna get one ......

The problem with that is the range is short and they use batteries like they're going out of fashion. I find that walkie talkies are fine for that sort of thing. I've got a good set of 4 that will go a mile or so.

the midland kit comes with a car kit ...in car charger and a antena lead so ya can use the normnal roof cb arieal and get good range back ...plus i only use it at close range mile at the most so more than that i dow need
