want a gas conversion doing, want a decent job doing of it and some where close to midlands ?

in the region of £1k i guess ?

it would cost me a grand to get to oxford :) .... why are they good at it ? is autogas a branch ? or a one man band as i have an autogas place near me ?

For a proper job it will be a lot more than £1k. A single point system might be available for that kind of money but a multi point system should come in over £2k.

There are a few LPG forums which should be able to give feedback on specific garages.

Theres a bloke in Netherton, Dudley does them, hes been convertin em for years, well wxperienced with Landy v8 s . If u interestwd then I will find his. Contact no. out

There is Autogas 2000 in Thirsk near York. They might be able to sort you out plus they are LPGA Certified...

Remember that it will take a long time to earn back that 2k, especially when gas is expensive, and will only make your underlying engine problems worse...

There is a place in leicester i had one done an an astra (i have to admit to owning one sorry)

They are a bunch of polish guys and i took it there at 6pm, i got a phone call at 11pm saying it was done!

4 of them jumped straight on it with no messing.

It was £500 for the lot. This was about 4 years ago. I think they are still there, on the little industrial estate near st georges retail park.

Worked spot on (until some bint pulled out on me and wrote the car off)

Buy a multi point kit and fit it yourself then get it certified, not to hard done my old 4.6 p38 a few years back, you remove your inlet manifold and drill and tap to fit LPG injectors, mount vaporiser and plumb into water system normal just before the heater intake, fit LPG tank in boot, connect all pipework as per regs, mount ecu and wire up, you will need a wiring diagram for your motor as you need to splice into lambada sensors and coil pack which ain't difficult and the injectors wiring harnes has plugs that go to your original injectors for firing tis easy, have a look on one of the LPG forums you can save a grand by fitting yourself;)
