quick question... i have a 300tdi disco. what is the name of the pipes between the injectors? they loop from one to the other and are bolted to each injector. need the exact name to make it easier for the "parts expert" on the phone that has "no mechanical experience"

help needed. many thanks!

sounds like the return pipes to me.... they return excess fuel from the injectors back to the tank

Leak off pipes / Fuel spill pipes / Return pipes. all sound like sensible answeres. But i know the "parts expert" will still be confused. cheers guys.

I think you can buy that pipe from halfords in 1 metre length for a couple of quid. Think its 3mm diameter. Just cut it to length with stanley knife. Just beat you there James :D

Land rover call it a "spill return assembly" Part number ERR3306, this part number may have been superseded by now but that's what its called in my '94 Defender parts catalogue.

they are leak off pipes ,spill pipe was used to time accurately inline injection pumps to determine begining of injection, return pipe is what they do,but not whay there called

cheers. also need the bit's in between. should explain. i've been working on the disco on the road (moved to a house with no drive and no garage! WHAT THE f**k?) and i took the injectors out to change the seals and dropped the whole rail down a drain. so need the pipe and the...."bits inbetween".

Can't you get it out of the drain ?

1) would you put your hand down a drain?
2) swirled a stick around nothing but dirty water = LOST FOREVER!
c) i dont have rubber gloves long enough to put my hand in.

The part number I quoted in my ealier post is for the whole thing including the banjo unions but not the bolts and washers.

Don't want to start an argument here :) but Land rover call it a "spill return assembly" in there parts catalogue.

thats because engineers that learnt from older engineers dont write parts books or manuals any more, ive even had to point out at one time that 110 backplates for rear drums couldnt be superceded to same part
