I would like to get a set of painted Defender 'eyebrows' back to black plastic and wondered if anyone had any ideas that would not damage the plastic, I have tried cellulose thinners and acetone but they had no effect on the paint.

Try some Nitromores on very small area or back of one. It will bugger up some plastics but not all. I tried it on some bulkhead vent seals and it worked a treat. Worth a try??

I have some Blackfriars paint remover, I don't know if it is the same as Nitromors but it seems to melt the plastic.
I would have preferred not to have painted them again as I find they don't look good for very long, particularly once they have had a couple of knocks.

try matt or satin black paint, i painted mine and they look grand
I agree with Larry... you could use 'plasticoat' satin or matt finish, its a little flexible and really easy to touch up. I have done my grill and headlight surrounds, look good and stand the winter anyway

I don't know about the eyebrows but nitromors destroys plastic rad grills...almost seems to melt them.

Tried most things, in the end i should of painted them up rather then stipping back, just didnt come out well however i tried. In the end just got new ones, there cheap from paddicks.
