Hi
I took my injectors to a local tester, attached are the results.
The report shows (last page) they are all under fuelling and the leak back is high (so I'm told), so I'm now thinking about replacing them but it's not a cheap job.

The car runs fine but I wonder if a new set of injectors will improve the running and overall performance, I don't want to fit new ones and find there's no difference.

Is there anyone with good knowledge that can read this report and say by how much these 2 issues are and is it worth replacing them?

You dont need to replace them, you can recondition them and swap the nozzles for 150 ish. A lot cheaper than true new injectors. I did the same about 8 years ago.

You wouldn't do it yourself anyway, its complex and needs testing. Any injection chap will have the nozzles. Once fitted they need testing at very high pressure. Your only worry would be getting them out which is simple enough.

I had taken them out hence the attached report, the are now back in the car.
The guy that tested them said the recon kits are no longer available.
 
Lots of common rail injectors cannot be reconned due to no parts available, the ones that are sold as reconned are basically cleaned /adjusted and put back into service.

If it runs okay, and you are happy then leave it be.

When it takes excessive cranking (due to excessive leak off) to get it started then it is new time.

I am always a bit unsure of the results, know lots of people who have had a problem, had the injectors check, told they are f##ked changed them all and that was not the problem, the question is not if they are to spec but how far out of spec can they be and not cause any problems?

No idea on the report... .tbh I would expect the expert who charged you for the report to tell you if you need to replace them and the usual "what would you do ? "

I have 2 injectors in for test at the moment for my van, one is a recon one that just does not seem to be okay which is why I am interested in is, I have been driving diesels the last 30 years and never had to change a injector, I had a a old tractor and a dumper that are as old as me 1965 and both have injectors which may or not be the same age both run (with a bit of smoke) I knew common rail do not last as long, but knew many car with 200k plus with same injectors

The expert is also the person selling you the new injectors?
 
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Injectors don’t just stop working, their performance depreciates over time as they wear slowly, they might seem ok but only be 70% effective and I want this engine running at its best.
I’ve already upgraded the Intercooler and had a remap, seems daft to do this work and not check the injectors are at their best.

Er, injectors do just stop working, most people don't notice a slight drop off in injector performance until they fail. You said it runs fine, so it's unlikely to improve much with new injectors.
If you're concerned that the injectors aren't functioning at optimum performance, then buy a set of new ones, as reconditioned are never as good as brand new injectors.

Er, ok sometimes they just stop working, sometimes they wear out without any symptoms until they then just stop working.
