Are Parabolic springs any good, i only trial would they be any better
Are they realy as good as coils or do i stick with my well oiled standards?

Having watched people trialling with & without parabolics, I wouldn't bother, they seem to give little if any advantage over good standard leaves. Trouble is they are often compared with the knackered leaf springs they replaced.
The driver makes more difference!

I remember hearing, a few years ago, that Ford Transit rear springs were pretty good on a trials Land-Rover. I think that they can be used with just the main leaf - so no inter-leaf friction. The most effective suspension mods to a leaf sprung Land-Rover must be these: DIFFLOCK.com - Gone2Far

Interesting, never thought of the revolver idea. Does anybody use it? Bet it costs a few bob!

I bet those revolvers do cost a few quid, but these would be fairly straightforward to make, and almost as good: extendable shackles | Daihatsu Drivers Club. Looks like a good adventure you've got planned there rustyrhinos.
