the biggest impact disclok has is the fact that theres always going to be another car without one and many of the country pubs i visit often has several from defenders to range rovers and ive only seen 2 with disclok fitted, so which onesthey gonna go for

Hi Gazman! Being a bit of a cluts I'm not sure how to send a PM, would you mind sending me the info on the weld up as ill do it this weekend! Cheers bud
hi..click on the members name top the message it opens up his profile and ..theres..start conversation..click on it opens up a message link

cheers for the PM

by the sounds of it its still worth buying even without the mods it will still stop opportunist etc

i dont agree with making it fit tight to the wheel as with the steering lock being forced this would give them control again even if limited by the bar

hi.. i think for me the fact no one can get a jemmy bar in and then prize it off and this is a weakness as the disclok is way stronger than flimsy steering wheel is a bonus, but when a say tight fit if you have 3 locking slots on the disclok so by using the last slot it can be set to still rotate under force whilst still minimizing how much play or gap there is.
with mine you can not move it at all...so even if they snap the steering lock...they can not straighten the wheels as the lock bar is jammed against the door..but they can go round in circles..lol

your door locks must be better than average then not wanting to p on your parade but they could easily have the door open to help them get it on a trailer etc

well then it drops on to the seat and there stuck..could take seat out..lol...end of it all they can just raise the front, or low loader it , you cant stop them if they want it..only hope they move on to the next one, theres all this talk about hand grinders..special tools ect..but if thats length there going to your in the mire any way

Some have to be removed others fold down flat on the floor.

Google is your friend ;)

I have tried.

The only one that i can fine that im sure is kept in place is the x-eng one - which looks good (albeit at a price) but then people say that the actual lock itself (ie the one they buy in) is a bit rubbish.

I have a clutch claw on the 101, which is fine, as its not like you nip to the shops in it, but id like something more convenient for the defender.

They're all beatable, all you can do is make it take longer and force them to make some noise before they can drive it away and if they're not put off by a disklok then a pedal box isn't going to bother them whether the box has a decent lock or not :(

Your trying to stop 3 different kinds of theft.

Driving away.....keep them out (we all know that's a joke in a Fender) alarms, pedal locks, hidden cut off switches etc.

Towing away/ loading up a ramp....Steering wheel lock, transmission brake lock (ish) posts.

Hiab.....tracker.

Imo if theyve come prepared to remove a disklok then a pedal box isn't going to slow them down much so it's not going to add much extra to security other than an extra visual deterrent to someone that doesn't know what they're doing anyway.

Just to update you all.
Just had mydisklok delivered. Even with out the mods its still going to take some getting off well pleased this and my clutch claw etc should put off the opportunist thief :)
