Hi all,

I've just had to have the fuel tank etc out as I needed to repair the rear crossmember. (Replaced with box section).

Do I need to replace the anti roll bar for the MOT?

Cheers,

Jack

According to my mot tester when I asked him a few years ago, yes, if their is provision for one to be fitted - though his eyes aren't the best :/

My Disco 300 tdi failed the mot because I had removed it due to doing a 2 inch lift.
I had to fit spacers (tow bar spacers work fine) to the ARB to drop it by 2 inches.
However, my brother-in-laws Disco passed the mot with it removed, so I guess it depends on how strict your mot man is.

Thanks guys

A bit of a gamble then.

My biggest problem now is that my new box section "crossmember" doesn't let my bumper fit.

I'm going to have to taper the ends.

I wonder which early disco didn't have anti roll bars as the parts catalogue shows them for all model years up to LA and then from MA VINs.

When the RRC was fitted with HD springs (police spec) the recommendation then by LR was to remove the rear anti roll bar.

not all had roll bars fitted

If you need 'em I have both front and rear ARB's with all connectors and rubbers. ;)
