Saw this on the "ingredients" for a relatively cheap veg oil today, does anyone know what it is and what it does, and most importantly what it will do to my engine if i use it in it?!

Ere, ya don't think it's an agent as well do yer???:D

OK so i shoulda worded it better...dint really care what it does to be honest, what will it do to me engine and is there enough likely to be added to the oil to make a difference?

why the fook would you wanna put in an anti foaming agent?
frogs snakes

Coz its an additive in veg oil that's about 25 p a litre cheaper than that wot int got it in

Back in 5, just off to hammer some nails through me feet

Vegetable oil.

Ingredients: Vegetable oil, Anti Foaming Agent

Apparently it makes it last longer on the shelf but i ain't really worried bout that

Oh right i got you, what you meant to say was
" I have seen a cheap veg oil im thinking of using but it has an anti foaming agent included in it, I was wondering if the anti foaming agent would make any difference to the running of the engine if I put it in me doosel, would anyone have advice or expierience of using such an oil"
Then i might have understood!

But no never heard of anti foamin agent in veg oil, try it and let us know how you get on.

Is it just me or was that a kind of Slobbish reply?

Last year there was that big kerfuffle about something being in fuel that was causing vehicles to break down all over the place cos it was coating the lamna sensors. I have a feeling that was silicone that was put in as an anti-foaming agent. Not 100% positive but it is ringing alarm bells.

I dint get much outta google either, other than the brand that i saw being sold at Morrisons!

Not too sure that me old 200 has Lambda sensors - but don't wanna pour too much in for fear of fookin it up! My searches on google took me to a Citroen forum who seemed to think it was OK.
