Stratstone are doing silly deals at the mo! (took some haggling though!)

Traded in my 1.8 2005 XEI 3 door for a TD4 2006 Adventurer 5 door!

(Both in black of course :p )

The cost to change figure is £4900

And they move across to the new one:

Side steps
Alloys (I like my 17” ones)
Steering wheel (got a leather one on ebay 5 months ago)

Then I get to take out the in dash auto changer and put the single slot one back!

With 3 years warranty..... which was the only reason I popped in to the dealership to extend my warranty!

Good eh?

Steve. :)

I just traded my 2002 TD4 ES for a 2006 5 door Adventurer at Stratstone.

Got mine for less than your suggested trade in price. I am not complaining, cheap motor with plenty of warranty!

Two weeks into a Td4 Adventurer, 56, with 15 miles. Cracking price. So: have cleaned it; added roof rails and cross bar kit; loadspace protector and (black) armrest. Having a breather from further expense, and then will consider what's next. Cheers.

Johnny.

Looks good stownrow. In fact, I've got the same car, but without the lamp guards and steps. Bought mine 4 weeks ago now, and very happy with it - I was looking initially at a Defender, but that was overruled by the missus (something to do with the example in question having a large roll cage in place of rear seats!).
I'm sure the tratter owners may not agree, but I think that I made the right choice - I do a fair few business miles, but also want to have a go at a few greenlanes (I'm in Derbyshire, on the edge of the Peaks) and I think that the freelander is really the best tool for the job, providing a balance between road manners and off-road ability along with reasonable economy too. It's quite a contrast to my previous motor (a seat leon cupra r - with twice the power of the Td4), but a very enjoyable drive, and certainly saving me some cash on fuel!
I am now keen to get some accessories fitted (side steps, maybe roof rails and of course me black leffer arm-rest). I went along to Billing at the weekend, but didn't buy much (I was too busy trying to avoid falling in the mud!) - so the wallet is twitching with anticipation of some new shiny bits!
I'm really keen to get out there and try it out properly in the rough stuff - I got a voucher for the LR experience thrown into the deal too, so can't wait to give that a go.
Hope you enjoy the new motor - I'm certainly pleased with mine!
