Should have bought a diesel, that is the only way you will save fuel. Because the lighter wallet feeling only gets worse the more often you fill it!!

My V8 gets about 20-21mpg and that gives me around 400klm range if I am careful...but last fill was from close to empty and cost $130 (80 l @$1.62/l)

Having just fitted a snorkel, I will have to do another fuel run and see if the economy has improved with the better breathing. I have a sports exhaust on it that made almost no difference, but Wolfy from Canada said his improved after the snorkel, so I am keen to see if and when I will eventually get the $700 smackeroos back.

how did you get theese 20mpg? You seem to get 20l/100km (80/4=20)its about 12mpg

You should have got a diesel, just filled mine up having got 602 miles out of the tank with the warning light just on, worked out at 33.7 MPG, ok so I don't get the tree hugger of the year award but not bad a 2 ton 4wd...
