Just bought the icarsoft 3 for land rovers to calibrate the suspension on L320. They told me this tool would do this but it doesn't. £180 less and mysport still needs calibration.
Any one no what to buy with out breaking the bank.

I have no knowledge of that diagnostics, if they say it will, ask them how? or its coming back for refund:).

Have you e-mail proof they said it would do it? if so send it back for a refund.

IID dont break the bank when you factor in the fact it does what it says ;) .

Thank you but ,£500 is a little rich for a one time use.

So what you gonna do now send it to LR? what's that gonna be on labor🤔

You will get your investment back if you are hands on.

All I will say is.

I have diagnosed a bad suspension pump, simple reseal and replacement.
An AC problem that was said to be the AC compressor(by a specialist) after looking at live data turned out to be the expansion valve.
Forget all the little settings that can be adjusted to what you want.

So you judge if its saved me money or not, it wont be a 1 time use 🤔

Read a post on another forum about a guy took his l322 into main dealer for front brake flexy recall and the bleed nipples snapped both sides and that's not covered by the recall and he would be expected to pay for couple hours labour at £210 an hour main dealer prices, that I think makes the Gap iid well worth the money (think he bought new calipers and fitted himself in the end).

plus 1 to that as indeed things like the gap iid comes out around £450 which pays for themselves very quckily

only need say 3 x visits to a dealer and has paid for itself, my local jlr dealer will charge £200 + vat to just plug it in then there there's the £190 + vat labour , then the parts which of course as we know many genuine parts can have an eye watering cost so something as simple as a brake pad change can end up costing £500 plus vat

alas think we’ve seen it so many times where people buy when new a 80k motor and not expect to pay good money for parts and diagnostics etc , alas can’t be run on a shoestring and also think if ur unable to do the work yourself it will be a very expensive motor to own, particuly as we know they do like to throw up electrical errors every other week, lol

just had a quick look at the V3 manual and reading this it looks like it will do the re calibration , see it need a minimum ba supply of 12.5 Vdc for it to work

plus of course the steering wheel angle sensor will also need calibrating

Blimey as It mentions about having to drop the column to get the label number, alas on the gap iid it’s considerably easier unless it’s only applicable on the FFRR or RRS

@Bigandy658 , Have heard on the disco 3 that the Autel AP200 works on the suspension , alas not 100% sure if it would work on the RRS or FFRR but suppose might be worth a go as an alternative , plus very handy to keep in the glove box seeing it’s only around £70

did read some had to try the suspension re calibration a few times to get it to work, had to be on flat ground and battery fully charged ,

just a thought and plse don’t think I’m having a dig at u in any way , just seen where some people buy a RRS or FFRR and then complain about the costs of upkeep , fully understand why ur upset as I would be to if buying something and then for it not to work , just a idea with regards to this

wonder if u can get ur money back seeing it not fit for purpose ?

Might be worth checking if Storey Wilson has anything that might work.

@Grrrrrr

is that the RSW guy ur talking about plse, if so I must confess haven’t seen anyone use it to date on here , does look pretty good

Yep.

I had a copy but it was on my laptop and it died. Used it on a mate's L322 but not tried an L320. Basic but did the job and was cheap.
