I fixed the oil leak on my 96 300 Tdi Disco that was found to be through the centre of the oil pressure switch a few months back and since then no mess on my drive.
In the last week or so I noticed more oil on the drive again on the OS and it had got worse, so today I decided to give the old girl a 6000 mile service that is due and I opened the bonnet to find oil everywhere on the OS of the engine bay and to make it worse nothing showing on the dipstick. I drained about 5 litres out so I think I caught it just in time.
But I cant see where the leak is? Around the oil filter area is dry but oil is sprayed right up the steering column until it enters the bulkhead and it spreads along the chassis rail and is dripping from the diff housing.
I will pressure wash it off tomorrow at the local garage and try to see if I can track it down. I am in the middle of fitting a new bathroom and I really dont need this right now.
Land Rovers luckily we love them .
