Just a quick intro and to say hi.

I've been doing some quick reading in the Disco threads and have found some really useful info so thought I'd sign up.

I've been a Landy fan for the last 17 years. In that time I've owned an '84 Range Rover Vogue, a petrol 90 hardtop and have just traded in my Defender 90 Tdi CSW for a Disco TD5.

I've been at the oily end of the 90's for 14 years so I know my round them quite well. The Disco is a different beast altogether so I reckon this site will be pretty helpful.

Anyway, I'm off to the Disco section to go and ask my first question :D

Cheers Gareth

Its funny really but the most notable thing I've noticed since trading in my Defender for a Disco is that I no longer get friendly waves from passing Defender/Series drivers.

I've never witnessed drivers of other vehicles who seem to have the same camaradery. I guess I took it for granted but I sort of miss it already. I drive round and I still have this automatic reflex to wave at passing Defenders. Just goes to show, you can take the man out of a Defender but you can't take the Defender out of a man :D

Rusty, try a mini for camaradery - a real mini designed by drawing around 4 people sitting down, not a BMW.
