Yes in a moment of madness I brought a 1997 Discovery 300TDi auto with a short MOT and 136k on the clock, not that that means anything as it spent the first 9 years of its life in Japan.
Overall its not to bad condition and it runs very well failed MOT on some welding of course £350 worth and some other minor bits and bobs which was better than I had expected considering I didn't pay a lot for it.
So I'm looking forward to a week or so of trouble free-ish motoring

Don't let the nay sayers put you off there are still some good 300tdi's around, Last year my mate paid £1800 for one with a million miles on the clock, did 100 miles a day in it without any major issues and got his money back when he sold it. He's now got a S111 2.7 diesel disco with 250k mile on it, still doing 100 miles a day.
