Hello all



I HAVE A DISCO 1 95 .WHATS THE DIFFERANCE BETWEEN A LOCKING AND NON LOCKING TRANSFER CASE ,, WHICH ONE IS BETTER I OFFROAD DESERT EXTENSIVELY MOAB BIG BEAR AND HONESTLY I NEVER KNEW IT LOCKED
UNTIL I BOUGHT A 2008 RANGE SPORT AND WENT ON THE OWNER APPRECIATION CHALLENGE AND WAS MADE AWARE OF IT BY ONE OF THE TRAIL GUYS. MY DISCO HAS LOCKERS AND ALL THE GOOD SAFARI JUNK
I FIGURED IT WAS NORMAL IT CLIMBED LIKE A BILLY GOAT AND GOT TERRIBLE GAS MILAGE .. LIKE 9 MILES ALL THE TIME , the reason i was asking is after
179,ooo miles it finaly started to whine and today i saw the cute little gear temp light and figured it was knackered for sure. so ive been made aware of two cases available , one is non lock and one is locking. any feed back would be appreciated .

you guys crack me up... so its ok if you realy dont know the differance. im ok with it .

i found out the answer from landrover ,its why i paid 2678 .00 to make sure they put the right one in .

the differance just so you guys know. and no its not lock unlock fricken moolys.
one does not transfer 100% drive capability and manuly lock. its electrical . Its 35 percent . useless for off road guys. not advanced pond swimmers like yourselves.

and thanks for the welcome so what do you own any way. a jeep .

just in case you forgot. mines a disco 1 95 khalahari special with a 4.0
chevy stepped milled sleeved and paxton supercharged 347 hp motor lockers and arb junk front to back ,nav . loads of lights oversized 140 amp alt 9k warn ac that blows 37 when its a 112 outside on a six degree slope and one new shiny transfer case. and the grocery getter is a 2008 sport supercharged range rover . and that sob runs like a raped bmw on the straight away.

you guys should have a Coke and a smile. err you guys are tea drinkers . oops.

Nope sorry you're still not making sense. In the Uk we have one difflock option and that is. Manually operated (via a lever) fully locked or fully unlocked. or you can have one with no difflock at all. The rest of your post is written in a foreign language. Could you try again in ENGLISH please..

english ok.. the differance between the two ,,, one is electric, and the smart one said the other has a shifter... presumeably the one that a few of you have up your arse,, hows that for english. i wasnt trying to be a moog.
its obvious ive trampled onto a site where there are one too many jizzheads

and the next question, do you even own a land rover product. or just one of those tyre kickers.im thinking you are a 16 year old with a copy of landrover monthly in front of you. probobly have never even gotten stuck in peate moss bogs .

the last statement isnt in the rest of the questions, that you obviously didnt understand but i think it need s to be said .

go **** of . are the english allways this ****y and moody you should be smitten that ive paid so dearly to own two of the most finicky and expensive vehicles in the western hemisphere.

its ok ,, i understand though momma didnt breast feed you and your local pub cut off your drinking credits.
